
In sub-Saharan Africa, it is estimated that around one in three children, representing 69 million children, is engaged in child labor, according to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) report in the child protection publication The State of the World’s Children.
But sometimes children work alongside their parents in the family business to earn a living. Sibon’gile Matsotso helps her parents sell fruit and vegetables at their stand in Mamelodi, South Africa.
