Egypt has a proud football history. It has won a record six Africa Cup of Nations Championship. Its nearest rival, Ghana, has won four. Egyptian clubs boast an equally impressive record, with the two Zamlek and Ahly dominating continental club championship for years. With most members of the national team, The Pharaohs, playing at home, some would wonder what explains Egypt’s success at international soccer. Moses Garzeawu reports.
