The Kids News Dream Team covers children’s stories around the World Cup

Four TV journalists from the Kids News Network (KNN) will cover the events around the FIFA World Cup in South Africa. Based in Pretoria, Mwaka, Metrix, Marcelino and Helio will report on everything that kids between 8- and 14-years-old are interested in and that characterizes this historic soccer event on African soil: colorful, profound, humorous and serious information for children that want to know more about South Africa during the World Cup.

Originally from Zambia and Mozambique, the KNN Dream Team will will tell African children’s stories from a African perspective. The team work under the guidance of chief editor Bart van Hattum and receives support from the South African KNN partner SABC.

All KNN Twenty Ten reports will be broadcasted within the World Kids News Network and will be available on the Twenty Ten website.

Since 11 June, Dutch children can see the stories about kids in South Africa in the kid’s corner of the AfricaScoort! exhibition at the Tropenmuseum in Amsterdam.
