Kennedy Gondwe (Zambia) has a diploma in journalism and is currently studying for a first degree in law. He has practiced journalism for nine years and is currently a sports correspondent for the BBC, Africa Today magazine and African Soccer magazine. Since 2008 he has been a television correspondent for SuperSport. He writes for a number of continental publications, mainly reporting on sports, business, politics and development. He has been recognized with several awards, including 2008 Finalist in the CNN/African Journalist of the Year, 2008 Finalist in the Susie Smith Memorial Award on HIV/AIDS reporting, 2008 Nominee by the Global Health Council for the Excellence in Media Award for Global Health’ and voted 2008 Best Sports Writer for the Mosi Cup. His interests are traveling, meeting new people and being adventurous.

An African Summer

Every summer Africa’s finest footballers go home after playing in European competitions.
