Mark Namanya is the Sports Editor at the Daily Monitor in Uganda. His interests are in sports, in general, with an emphasis on tennis, cricket, boxing and athletics. He is the Vice President of the Uganda Sports Press Association and was named the Cricket Writer of the Year 2002. He has traveled extensively for sports coverage, attending the 2007 World Athletics Championships in Osaka, Japan and the 2009 Confederations Cup in South Africa. His hobbies are sports, playing football, chess, traveling, reading biographies and listening to rock/hip hop music.
