Mohamed Abdou is a photojournalist for Al Ahram Newspaper. He works on subjects related to sports, features and news.  In 2007 he won a prize for a Sports Image in the Division of Photojournalists competition.

In 2008 he won a prize for a Storyboard in the Egyptian Press Syndicate competition and In 2009 he won a prize for a Sports Image in the Division of Photojournalists competition. His hobbies include swimming and repairing computers.

Arab representation

It was a close run between Algeria and Egypt on November 14th in Cairo and, although Egypt triumphed in this match, Algeria went through to qualify for the World Cup. The results of this game dictated who will be Africa’s Arab representative in the approaching Soccer World Cup Championship.
