Simone Scholtz is a freelance photographer in South Africa. She enjoys feature photography with a focus on current issues as well as portraiture. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism at Rhodes University in 2003. She was the 2005 Runner Up in the Mondi Newspaper Awards for feature photography and the 2007 and 2008 winner of the Regional Vodacom Journalism Awards for Photography. Her interests include surfing, hiking and kayaking.
