Tadele Assefa is a senior Sport Editor at Ethiopian Television and Radio Agency and also a freelancer at The Sub-Saharan Informer News paper, a regional news paper distributed to eight different countries in Africa. During the six years, he had the chance to cover many football and athletics events both in the country and outside the country. He has interviewed prominent sport personalities of Ethiopian sports including swimming, volleyball, handball, basketball, cycling table tennis, motor racing and other traditional and cultural sports. As part of my job I have traveled to Egypt (Cairo), France (Paris, Lyon), Brazil (Rio) and Ghana to cover different sport activities.
He does analyses of top sporting performance throughout the week and in-depth previews into future events and reports of matches and meets already completed. He also does live commentaries for football and athletics events: major events commented on include East and Central African Senior Challenge Cup football tournament on 2007.african athletics championship, African youth football cup
He is also responsible for hosting sports talk shows once a week, producing and hosting a half-hour sports show twice a week and generating story ideas and follow-up assignments.
Previously, he also worked for Ethio-Sport Newspaper as a reporter and at Dire Dawa administration Council as Information and public relation head.
